Most Facial Rejuvenation procedures can be done under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. Some will require a one or two night hospital stay.

It is usually indicated in women and men above 35 years old, it takes one or two hours under general or local sedation anesthesia . There are several alternatives and an important number of patients will elect to use Botox or endoscopic surgery techniques.

•Blepharoplasty: Eyelid rejuvenation involves the resection of excess of skin in the eyelids and the repositioning of the protruding fat pads and sometimes reinforcement of the ligaments that support the lower eye lids. Its usually done under general or local sedation anesthesia. You will require a previous appointment with our Ophthalmologist to check up your vision and be sure you do not have any contraindication for surgery (ex. Dry Eye Syndrome). It’s an ambulatory procedure , your surgery will be done in the morning and you will be discharged in the afternoon. You will be allowed to read during short periods of time 3 or 5 days after surgery, and you will need to stay at least two weeks in Colombia for POP care . Blepharoplasty can be done alone or in conjunction with other procedures.

•Facialplasty ( Facelift): Facelift involves the improvement of signs of aging.Tightening of deep tissues of the face as the SMAS and cervical muscles, redraping of the face and neck skin and sometimes liposuction of the excess fat. You will be staying at least one night at the Hospital depending on the length and extension of the procedure and any medical condition that may require additional care. A facialplasty is a very individualized surgery and only after a complete evaluation by your surgeon you will really be informed of the technique(s) that best suit your individual medical conditions and expectations.
